More work is needed before road will reopen in November

Be alert for additional traffic from construction trucks and the paving crews on Highway 57 in Kasson on Friday and Saturday of this week.

Crews are scheduled to put the last layer of asphalt on the southern end of the road in the construction zone beginning on Friday. Additional paving work and the first layers of pavement are scheduled to be done on Saturday on the north end of the project north of Seventh Street past the fairgrounds.

Traffic will not be allowed on the road yet, except for local residents to reach their homes or businesses.

It's a signal that the work is getting closer to completion next month.
