The Dodge County Commissioners proclaimed the week of April 10th through April 16th as National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week. This proclamation honors the men and women who staff the communications center for the county.

It states in part, “The safety of our law enforcement officers, firefighters, and medical responders is dependent upon the quality and accuracy of information obtained from citizens who telephone the Dodge County communications center, and Public Safety Telecommunicators are the first and most critical contact our citizens have with emergency services.”

County Emergency Management Director, Matt Maas and 16-year veteran dispatcher, Dawn Frieberg attended the April 12 meeting when the proclamation was signed.
