The Dodge County Sheriff's Office serves a jurisdictional
population of approximately 20,000 citizens with three
Criminal Records Technicians and one extra-help technician
assigned to the Records Unit.
The Records Unit provides
diversified public services as well as agency support
duties described as follows: Applicant fingerprinting,
handgun permits to qualified applicants, maintenance
of agency reports/records including court mandated
functions, process records releases, process criminal
and civil warrant, process criminal offender narcotics/sex/arson
registration, order and restock agency supplies and
forms, compile statistical monthly reports for the
Department of Justice Uniform Crime Reporting.
The records
unit is open for the public between 8:30 a.m. to 4:30
p.m. (Monday through Friday. We occasionally close
from 12 P.M. to 1 P.M. We recommend that you telephone
for confirmation prior to coming.) The fee for report
copies is $5.00. Photo identification must be presented
when requesting reports. We recommend you call prior
to coming in for any release of records. Cases currently
under investigation can not be released. Records releases
are made within ten days of request to authorized individuals
in accordance to the law.
To provide better service,
the following functions are performed on designated
dates and times:
Fingerprinting – Applicant Cards (by appointment)
Monday - Friday 8:30 P.M. TO 4:00
P.M. (We stop accepting applications at 3:45 P.M.)
Fee $10.00 per card
