Sheriff Jim TriheyThe Dodge County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO) serves a population of nearly 20,000 including 6 municipalities (Claremont, Dodge Center, Hayfield, Kasson, Mantorville and West Concord) and 12 Townships. Kasson and West Concord have their own Police Departments while the Sheriff’s Office contracts with the remaining 4 municipalities.

The Dodge County Sheriff is Jim Trihey. The Sheriff’s Office is located in the Courthouse in Mantorville. The Sheriff’s Office includes 19 Patrol Deputies, 3 Transport Deputies, 2 Night Sergeants, 1 Training Sergeant, 2 Investigators, 1 Captain, a Chief Deputy, and the Sheriff. The office also staffs 4 clerical/records employees and a Dispatch Center with 5 full-time 911 Emergency Dispatchers.

In addition to patrol, the Sheriff’s Office has Deputies assigned to Investigations, the School Resource Officer Program, the ENTRY Team, Crime Prevention, and Warrants.


The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office has also been an active member of the SE Minnesota Drug Task Force since 1996.
