The Dodge County Sheriff’s
Office (DCSO) serves a population of nearly 20,000
including 6 municipalities (Claremont, Dodge
Center,
Hayfield, Kasson, Mantorville and
West Concord) and 12 Townships. Kasson and West Concord
have their own Police Departments while the Sheriff’s
Office contracts with the remaining 4 municipalities.
The Dodge County Sheriff is Jim Jensen. The
Sheriff’s Office is located in the Courthouse
in Mantorville. The Sheriff’s Office includes
19 Patrol Deputies, 3 Transport Deputies, 2 Court Deputies, 2 Night Sergeants,
2 Day Sergeants, 2 Investigators, 1 Captain, Chief Deputy, and
the Sheriff. The office also staffs 4 clerical/records
employees and a Dispatch Center with 5 full-time 911
Emergency Dispatchers.
In addition to patrol, the Sheriff’s
Office has Deputies assigned to
Investigations, the School Resource Officer Program,
the ENTRY Team, Crime Prevention, and Warrants.

The
Dodge County Sheriff’s Office has also been an
active member of the SE Minnesota Drug Task Force since
1996.

The Dodge County Sheriff's Office Patrol Division periodically allows citizen's to participate in ride-a-longs. Those applying for a ride-a-long will be subject to a background check and be required to meet specific criteria and approval from the Patrol Captain.
