Burning Waste and Debris
A Burning Permit is required
prior to burning any brush, waste, or other debris except
when done for recreational purposes. Only "farmers" are
allowed to burn some of their household refuse in a
burn barrel, if refuse collection is not available.
Burning rubber, plastic, tires, shingles, tar paper,
insulation, wiring, paint, treated wood, and hazardous
materials is prohibited.
Dodge County residents need to obtain burning permits from the Department of Natural Resources at the Rochester Area Office 2300 Silver Creek Rd NE, Rochester, MN 55906 tel. 507-206-2838

Burying Waste and Debris
A
Clean Fill Permit is required prior to burying any
man-made products including concrete, wood, glass,
and other items from the construction and demolition
of roads, driveways, buildings and other structures.
This requirement applies in all areas of the county
including cities.
