Vaccinations are an effective and evidence-based way to prevent illness from serious diseases. DCPH offers vaccinations for under or uninsured children and adults who have insurance through a Minnesota Health Care Program. Seasonal flu vaccinations are also available to individuals who pay privately or have insurance coverage accepted as payment by DCPH. DCPH offers vaccinations by appointment or at clinics, and offers the following vaccines:

Vaccinations Available for Children

  • Diphtheria, Tetanus and Acellular (DTap)
  • Hepatitis A (Hep A)
  • Hepatitis B (Hep B)
  • Human Papillomavirus (HPV)
  • Inactivated Polio (IPV)
  • Influenza (Flu)
  • Measles, Mumps and Rubella (MMR)
  • Meningococcal (MCV4)
  • Pertussis (DTap)
  • Pneumococcal (Prevnar 20)
  • Tetanus, Diphtheria and Pertussis (Tdap)
  • Varicella/Chicken Pox (Varicella)
  • COVID-19 (Moderna 2023-2024 Formula)

Vaccinations for Adults

  • Hepatitis B (Hep B)
  • Influenza (Flu)
  • Tetanus, Diphtheria and Pertussis (Tdap)
  • RSV – Respiratory Syncytial Virus (PCV 20)
  • COVID-19 (Moderna 2023-2024 Formula)
  • Measles, Mumps and Rubella (MMR)
  • Varicella/Chicken Pox (Varicella)
  • Human Papillomavirus (HPV)

Qualification Information for Vaccines for Children and Adults

VACCINES FOR CHILDREN
Available through the MN Vaccines Children (VFC) program for children under age 19 who:

  • Do not have health insurance.
  • Are on a Minnesota Health Care Program (MA, SCHA, MnCare)
  • Are American Indian or Alaskan Native.
  • Have health insurance that does not cover vaccine, including health care sharing ministries.
  • Have health insurance with a cap on preventive care that has been met. Unmet deductibles do not qualify. A parent/guardian must accompany children under 18 years of age.

A parent/guardian must accompany children under 18 years of age.

VACCINES FOR ADULTS
Available through the Un/Underinsured Adult Vaccine (UUAV) program for adults who:

  • Do not have health insurance.
  • Have health insurance that does not cover one or more vaccines.
  • Have health insurance with a cap on preventative care that has been met.
