The
Public Health Department has volunteer opportunities
available in the following areas:
- Nurses
We
can always use volunteer nurses to help with immunization
and flu clinics.
- Clerical
Clerical volunteers
are utilized in the following programs:
- A. Our NEST
program to help maintain our record keeping
and work in our store.
- B. Flu Clinics to help
with handing our forms, taking surveys, and
helping people fill out forms.
- Child Care
During our NEST education
hour, child care is provided.
- Advisory Board
At
various times, there are volunteer opportunities
available to sit on the Dodge/Steele Health
Board as an advisory member.
- Medical Reserve Corps
Medical and non-medical volunteers needed to help Public Health plan, prepare, and respond to local and state emergencies both environmental disasters and Public Health disasters like Pandemic Influenza. Volunteers may also help with Flu clinics, Blood Pressure clinics, health education, and other Public Health needs. Tobacco Coalition: Volunteers are needed to join a Public Health coalition to “reduce tobacco’s harm in Dodge County” sponsored by a grant through ClearWay MN. Opportunities will vary throughout the year but if you interested in reducing tobacco's harm on the community, please visit our website at www.4cornerspartnership.org to learn more about tobacco's harm and the projects the coalition is currently working on.
